Valerie Aurora has 10 years of experience in Linux/UNIX operating system design and development, specializing in file systems. Some highlights:

• Lead architect and developer for chunkfs
• Architect and developer for Solaris ZFS
• Developed and debugged ext2, ext3, chunkfs, ZFS, NFS, UFS, VxFS, GPFS, and more
• World-wide expert in file system design and repair
• Maintained multiple Linux kernel drivers and platforms
• Founder, program chair, or committee member for many conferences, including USENIX File Systems and Storage Technology (FAST), Linux Storage and Filesystem Workshop (LSF), Storage Security and Survivability (SSS), Ottawa Linux Symposium (OLS), FREENIX, and USENIX Annual Technical Conference (ATC)
